Chewing Fufu is a personal blog inspired by my life experiences as a Christian first-generation Ghanaian-American, black woman from the Bronx. The name was derived from the very fact that you’re not suppose to chew fufu…you swallow it–which I had to learn. But that meant getting it wrong.
Chewing Fufu is, perhaps, the most transparent and honest account of my occasional, emotional instability, love of God and flawed navigation through the intersections of my identity. More importantly, it is where I will post my mistakes proudly, develop my voice, and document my becoming.
